very upset reading about each reaction that was presented by the teens that got the videos. Each had no idea he or she was a reason why this teenage girl killed herself.

I agree with this quote. The dark and twisted yet nice and joyful, book really demonstrates the accurate showing of a teen. Teens experiment and try to be like everybody else and there are many ups and downs to all of this experimenting, and many lead to suicide.

In thirteen reasons why the setting takes a huge role in the story. One of the videos the main character sends to her "torturer" is based off of the setting. The main character says how her and the bully had a touching moment on the dusty old swing set, in her favorite park, down the street from her house, on a winding road ,in an urban community. Knowing the setting of this novel just makes the whole book better.

This book really takes a toll on my emotions. The novel is about a teenager who felt as if she was getting bullied, so she killed herself. Nobody in her life was aware of the reasons why she killed herself. Two weeks after she passed away, videos went out to every individual that hurt her in her life, and they were called the thirteen reasons why she killed herself.
