So far into this book we are introduced to a family. A father named Tom, a mother named Sallie, they have 3 daughters, Jennifer, lucy and a younger girl who is so far unnamed. Tom, the father, hates his mother. We do not know why yet but i'm guessing its for a very serious matter for he states his hatred is very strong towards her and he states that she is a monster.
