The characters continue to develop. There are always surprises that reveal themselves when least expected.

It starts slow. Stays true to the syntax of the Chinese and Cambodian languages and syntax, so it's slow at times. I find myself looking up history in terms of the killing fields and Khmer Rouge. I am enjoying the character development and wanting to see what happens next.
