I personally would try with some digital copy (something that doesn't costs money nor waiting, like in the library) and trying to read the first few pages.

no! very straightforward especially if you're into dfw you'll feel familiar although just bc im adhd and stupid i always had the litcharts open also the pynchonwiki annotations while not necessary are cool to look at bc he does very constant allusions and symbolisms much like joyce. either way it's very short so see for yourself
