Very interesting book about how Truman went from an obscure senator best known as a part of the Pendergast Machine to Vice President of the United States.
Truman had to build a committee with nominal funding and no real support.
Two of the guiding principles that Truman expressed was that they were not going to bury stories or use them to shame others. Facts and honest criticism were key.
