Collins was schooled out in the south of the United States as she went to Indiana university and Alabama school of film. Suzanne says she bases her writing off of things she often thought of as a child. Collins is one of my favorite authors and it was interesting to find out more about her

This often is the case for me as well, although I'm not the tallest and not the smartest, I can still do almost anything I set out to do.

This book is relevant to me in numerous fashions. Although I can't say I am one who got thrown into an arena, for a competition of killing, I can relate to the main character Katniss. Katniss and I both share a level of desire when it comes to defeating a task. Katniss wasn't the most athletic, or smart person in the contest but her desire and determination to come out alive allowed to her to win.

Earlier in the novel, Katniss stands up for her sister and nominates herself to go in the hunger games instead of her sister. I can relate to this, because once my friend did something and I took the blame for it, refraining him from getting in trouble. I think Katniss is going to survive the Hunger Games and win it for her community, which shows bravery.

This novel is a story about survival and will power. The main character Katniss is a true friend and very loyal. She was put into a tough situation is trying hrr best to thrive. Earlier in the novel her sister got chosen to participate and Katniss imdeantly said " No, she's to young I'll take her place." This shows Katniss love and compassion toward family.

Right now in the novel, Katniss is about to engage in battle in the hunger games. Katniss is the best character in the story because she is very strong and a good person for going into the competiton instead of her sister. She is a great sister and someone people should look up too.
