Topic Characterization: David Goggins feels torn and unhappy. He thinks if he hides or stays in the shadows he will be able to not get picked on for being a Black person in Indianapolis. This is not the case though sadly on pg 56 it says he was hanging out with a white girl and her Dad had walked into the restaurant and said "I don't ever want to see you with this N word ever again." Later David turns into a thug.

Topic Audience and Purpose: The audience of Can't Hurt Me is people who want to improve in their weaknesses. The purpose is to help people get better and build a strong mentality. I know this because the whole book is about David going through hard times and coming up from his tough times to improve himself and pushing his limits.
