The author makes a point to stress how romance is the most popular genre, that it’s worthwhile and nothing to be embarrassed about, but then she has the characters read these ridiculous sex scenes out loud that are unlike any smut I’ve ever read. So over the top and absurd and totally not what’s in popular modern romances today. Why not tell them how they really are? This makes it seem like a joke. 🤔
