It's becoming painful to read too. I wish everyone would finally realize what is going on because I've known since book 1.

Spot on. But was it really that obvious? I'm prone to dense moments, sure, but I didn't have an inkling. Damn, I feel like my brain just shrunk:)
I am not a very astute reader myself, but I could totally tell the main idea (view spoiler) at the end of book 1.

Mead is not the most subtle writer though. I've complained about this after a few of her books.
