The plot of the story so far is very interesting and well developed, shifting from the kidnapped Reacher and Holly Johnson to the FBI who are desperately trying to find them. The story is filled with suspense and mystery that's yet to unravel. I think it is very well written with great detail. "But he'd known guys with famous parents... How ever bright they burned, their light was always lost in the glow."

By mere chance, Jack Reacher ended up in a cow barn hundreds of miles away from where he was 14 hours ago, handcuffed to the stall ceiling. Together with him is new FBI agent Holly Johnson, the daughter of the chairman of the joint chiefs of staff. She was kidnapped by 3 amateur kidnappers and Reacher just happened to be helping her who's struggling with laundry with an injured knee. Reacher decided to stay with her.
