Absolutely loving so far, there are definitely differences from the movie, but I feel like the general vibe was very well portrayed. Love that Sophie’s attitude towards being old is the same, and love how she’s more sassy in the book. The witch of the waste seems SO much more justified in the book it’s crazy.

Maybe the only time I'm happy to have watched a movie before reading the book. I really like how knowing at least a bit recontextualizes the spell, but so much was left out of the movie that I'm still surprised at the twists. greatly enjoying, highly recommend still. Also, book Howl still sucks.

I love how much different calcifier looks in the movie compared to his description in the book. He has a very off putting almost human face in the story.
