I am re-reading this book and the first time I really liked it. I would recommend it to people who love basketball and understand it very well. This kid goes through a lot to get what he wants and is a very hat worker while in the classroom and on the court. It is a great book and one of my favorite books too.

I finished the book a week a go, I am going to start a new book today. Why was Danny's dad driking before the big game? Danny's dad was drinking before the game because there team got thier first win and he wanted to celebrate. He got sick and got in a car crash driving home. How did Danny manage to get through the vikings game with his hurt back? He felt motivated to beat the number 2 team just like his father did

Right now I am done with the book. The character named Danny Walker was very similar to me in this book. Just like him I am small and love to play basketball. Ive been called names for being small. People saying I would never get taller or call me '"shorty''. It hurts, but you have to overcome it and that is what Danny Walker and I had similar to each other in these events.

The setting takes place in a small town named middletown. The time is about at winter of 2005. The story also takes place in St. Patricks school in the basketball gym. The story has not showed any signs of where ithe story could take place .

The plot of the story is when Danny Walker's dad, the coach of the team gets in a car crash. He busted up his body pretty bad, by breaking both of his rib cages. That was the night that his team won its first game, beating the other team pretty badely. They all pitched in and got Danny's dad a NBA spalding ball with all there names written on it.

Danny Walker is a small boy who plays basketball. He tried out for the local travel team and they told him he was to small. His dad who was a star on that travel team made a new team for the kids that got told they were not good enough. I really like this book so far because it relates to me a lot. Also, the book is about basketball and I love basketball
