Jayson
Jayson is starting

Notes:
(1) Wait, why am I still reading "Spawn"? Oh yeah, a buddy-read only meant for one volume that I decided to go all the way with.
- This is the longest Halloween buddy-read ever!
- Also, because the last volume ended at Part 4 of a 7-part arc. Otherwise, I'd have taken a break to cleanse my palate.
(2) Just coming off a serious reading slump, so hopefully I'm over it.

Notes:
(1) So, there's this two-parter set in Japan, seemingly about a samurai Spawn. Though, it turns out he's only dressed like a Spawn... I don't know, it's confusing.
- The story's passable, but just feels like a different series Spawn's guest-starring in.
(2) We get the return of a kid from early in the series... I think.
- I like callbacks, but this is also confusing.

Notes:
(1) Medina's art simply gets in the way of the story.
- It's all speed lines and ambiguous mush.
(2) The editorial oversight with these trades have been abysmal. There are so many things that happen in other books that it's assumed we know about.
- The whole Twitch family drama's at the center of this arc, but we only get the tail end of it.
- Editor's notes! Please!
