Today I read about how scientists study brain activity using lots of description. The author describes the fMRI machine as "a multimillion-dollar [...] machine, which has made possible some of the greatest breakthroughs in modern neuroscience" (Cain 115). This shows how important the machine is to breakthroughs in science.
