in theory this book should be absolutely up my alley - queer horror with direct criticism of evangelical religion? normally 100% my shit. but even nearly halfway through it isnt quite grabbing me? maybe because this is YA and im older than the intended demographic now.
not horrible by any means though and i am curious how things will play out. its a fave of the friend who lent it yo me so will be sticking it out

loving the descriptions of viscera and decay its very fascinating. also enjoying the world lore set up though i hope they delve into it a bit deeper - keeps leaving more questions than answers atm
