I may never finish reading this book. The text is deeply set, in a time before paragraphs and narrative spacing, where each speaker gets a new line. Rather it simply flows, and deeply. Reading it is like having a time machine. The text rolls like the hills of Spain, engulfing the reader (me) in the place as well as the time. Great fun but the strain of travelling back and forth in time has taken it out of me for now.
