This author could benefit from reading, They Say I Say. He references a book, lists some facts about it, but doesn't go into enough detail in the reference to link it to his discussion so the reader can relate it to the supposed topic of the book. I've read several of the books referenced, but still don't see how he's adding value to the text by referring to them. It's like he's saving it for later, but shouldn't.
