DNF this shit is boring af and I just don’t like this author’s writing style at all. Honestly not sure why I picked this up when I didn’t even like her other book, A River of Golden Bones. Both of these books are like 60-90% travel with tiny sprinkles of action and for a ‘fantasy politics’ book there’s like no political commentary on the (fictional) world

She keeps making up random numbers “they met when they were 12 and have been friends for 7 years” you JUST said Remy was nearly 28??
