Chapter 7 is a sad part of the book because the Ojibwa traded with the settlers and lost their way to hunt and honor the animals that died. The settlers killed 3 wolves and skied them. The wolves got mad at the Ojibwa and the settlers so the wolves took all of the settlers food and some of the Ojibwas food. All of the settlers died because they had no food for the winter but the Ojibwa survived the winter.
