Angel, who was Jesús’s best friend, and the antagonist in the book Buried Onions, by Gary Soto. would view Jesús’s murder as a mistake. As the murderer, he regrets killing him because it was over as small as “Stealing a car together and Angel sold it but didn’t split the profits”(Soto 55). Jesús’s and Angel are both gangsters and usually act before they think. So, Angel being greedy didn’t want to share the profits.
