For some reason, I thought it would be sci-fi-ish or at least something out of the ordinary. This is as contemporary as it gets. I also don't get the hype about it 🤷. Maybe it's sentimental to some?
It's a cute coming-of-age story though. Liked both characters too.

This is how a YA love story should be done. Simple, realistic and without cringy dramatics and antics.
Somehow I thought it'd be sci-fi YA with sprinkles of first love, coming of age, family, cozy etc.
Good but great.
3/5 Stars.

This might be the most realistic portrayal of teenagers in YA I have ever seen 🤯. So realistic it's fucking relatable.
YA authors should take notes fr 💯.
I can see why many people gush about this book. It captures the authentic experience of teens, first love, family dynamics, identity discovery and so on.
