Loving it so far! I wanted to say that it was a combination of "84 Charing Cross Road" and a Barbara Pym novel but I think it stands apart in its uniqueness. I'm noticing that many of my GR friends lost interest in the book's second half so I've been put on alert.

I'm still loving the book but am dreading any further mention of Adelaide Addison. Why is it OK to create an ignorant, creepy antogonist who imagines herself speaking for Christ? I've personally known many thinking people of faith, from Catholics to Baptists, and none of them even come close to this woman in terms of disgusting reprehensibility. I sometimes feel like someone with Jewish friends reading Mein Kampf.
