Dozens of interesting ideas—but this whole book’s filled w/nothing. Wacky & zany—the scene with the lobsters was the nail in the coffin—so stupid—it was my cue to start skimming this. How does Stross expect the science stuff to be taken seriously amidst large talking lobsters. No realism at all (wouldn’t most humans paralyzingly freak out in their presence?!—nope not in this book).

No idea whats going on—way too much sensory overload sheesh

Digging the cyberpunk—reminiscent of William Gibson where I’m hardly holding on to all the slang & tech ideas. Also feel like Stross’ sci-fi is the sort that actually massages, stretches & exercises my brain b/c it’s quite logical & deterministic
