I’m 1/3 of the way in and I don’t care about these characters or what happens to them at all. There are also a lot of characters. I think I am just not a fan of any historical romances that have any subplots related to crime or detective work or mercenaries. I can’t make myself care about them

I cannot follow this story at all I have no idea what’s going on and don’t like that Colin is still actively proclaiming his love for Louisa while openly flirting w whatever the main girl characters name is. Madeline? Idk unfortunately this is a 3star DNF
