Finding it exhausting to engage with this novel. I had high hopes for it after hearing rave reviews fom friends and critics alike but I am yet to be impressed. Hulme's prose is difficult to follow; it's not quite Viriginia-Woolf-stream of conciousness nor is it e.e.-cummings-word-art-poetry. Nevertheless, I will persevere and discovee what the novel's hype is all about.
