I get my attention tuned into my story whenever my favorite character has the point of view. Recently it was hazel, who talked about a curse, and in the previous book in the series it was Leo, who, no matter what he did, was my favorite. When my favorite character has a chapter, I kind of wake up again, and start caring more about the story. Sometime when it is one of the other characters I have the same feelings.
