This weird kid named David loses his mom to a disease, and becomes withdrawn and shies away from the world. He becomes sort of crazy. Then, his dad finds another girl named Rose, and David doesn't like her because he thinks that it isn't right for his dad to be seeing someone after his mom died.The setting of the story so far is mostly in his house. This setting affects the plot b/c he spends most of his time there.

One inference that I made was that David doesn like the place that he is in, since he dreams about being back home with his family. When he was dreaming as he was sleeping, he dreamed about his family, and being in his own bed in his house. Yo my knowledge, that means that he wants to be back home with his family and in his own bed. It helps me understand that he wants to get back home where he can be with his family
