Why would Hazel tell Kaitlyn that she is tired and she is going to go home? I think that she said that because she just wanted to be alone and to just be by herself and collect her thoughts about what is going on right now with her life and how she can handle cancer and Augustus at the same time. I believe that the author put this in the book to make the reader think about what she is going through and just think.
