The writing overall is quite lyrical and pleasant but I'm about 40 pages in and the author has used "firmament" and "zenith" like three times each. Girl. Let's widen that vocabulary.

Really enjoying the writing style so far, but I just realized that this is the same author of Nothing But Blackened Teeth which was the worst I've read in recent memory. So that's tainting my experience a little. Still hopeful for the outcome, though.

I just listened to Nothing but Blackened Teeth and there was a word she kept using, can’t remember what it was but it was something specific like that
