I read about Frank Zappa. He was an interesting person.

I read about Gil Scott-Heron, Grandmaster Flash, Bob Marley, & Peter Gabriel. I don't fully understand how the music of Grandmaster Flash and Peter Gabriel have to do with protest music.

It felt like this book had peaked at chapter four (still think that). Chapters 5-10 felt like the author was pulling at strings to convince me that those artists pertained to protest music. But I think we are back on track. Maybe.

I read about the Beatles, John Lennon, the Dead Kennedys, and the Sex Pistols.

Read about the Who and Black Sabbath.

I read about Pink Floyd and Jimi Hendrix.definitely not the kind of artists I listen to.

I read about Phil Ochs, Joan Baez, Bob Dylan, Lesley Gore, Janis Ian, and P.F. Sloan. Excited for the next chapter.
