I like the IDEA behind these books. But they get really old real fast. This book challenges a common idea: that the role of FBI COunterINTELligence PROgrams in undermining "subsversive" political groups (the Communist Party, the Socialist Workers Party, the Black Panther Party, and so on) has been greatly reduced. It does so by systematically explaining how the foregoing idea is wrong in each of those cases. Boring.
