Summary. Novalee now constantly visits Moses white cotton because she has found an obsession of hers and that is taking pictures. She picked up a camera for 30 dollars at a flee market and now spends almost all her free time taking pictures and developing them at Moses Whitecottons's house.

Theme So far in this book I think the theme is do the best with what you have. Novalee is stuck in a Wal-Mart with no money, and she still is making the best of her situation by making herself comfortable. She is using her resources to the best of her ability and staying calm where as if I were in her shoes I would panic.

Character Analysis and Summary(part 2) She left everything behind and is on the road with her boyfriend Willy Jack in his beat up Plymouth that he picked up from the junkyard. Willy jack is an alcoholic and commonly gets angry at Novalee. When Novalee stops to use the restroom at a Walmart he leaves her there and Novalee finds herself in a Walmart with $7.77.
