Life of Pi is about the story of an Indian boy as he grows up in a zoo and is made fun of because of his name which sounds like "Pissing" when it is actually the French Piscine. He has begun to describe the process in which his father tries to teach him that the world can be a dangerous and scary place by making him watch a tiger eat a goat. Poor goat.
