3) In his Masterclass, Dan Brown mentions you make a promise to your reader at the start as in “If you read this book, you’ll receive that information”. So far, I’m getting overly descriptive writing on the settings that remind me of “On Chesil Beach” (Not a compliment)

4) The pacing isn’t great. The author is overly descriptive while being evasive on the settings and to tell us where her character is. I’ll give it to you that’s a skill to be that confusing.

No offense, I am really not enjoying this book.
1) The writing style goes from overly sophisticated to extremely basic. It does not flow
2) Even though I live in France and I know the area the novel is set in, the number of places mentionned make avsolutely no sense. Why do writers foreign to France keep on trying to show off theif knowledge of the countrry?
