Wow. A key for him to survival in Auschwitz was realizing that suffering was inevitable and recognizing his bravery in enduring. Not sugar-coating. Not overly optimistic. Remembering love as the focus of his life and reason for continuing. But realizing that life would be miserable for a long while. But still with living.

I love that principle! It’s also a Buddhist teaching and is really big in meditation- suffering is part of existence but it also means we are alive.

Yes! So inspiring. Just being present in it and recognizing it for what it is has the potential to change your whole outlook
