I cant believe how extremely evil carries mom is. For feeling bad and scared she kicks and slaps her. Then goes and tells her to pray. And Carrie says that her mother is the only one she can trust.

While reading the first part of the book I could feel the emotions Carrie was feeling. The anger, fright, sadness. It was like the book had emotions soaked into the book. And every reader absorbed those emotions.
