Alvin from north reminds me of my twin brother, Devyn. Alvin and Devyn have so many things in common such as being picky eaters. Example: Someone he was staying with offered some cookies and Alvin got all exited. Similar to when Devyn would get exited over chicken. But then the man helping Alvin said that the cookies were bear cookies. Like if we mentioned that the chicken was actually chicken with Marsala sauce.

Because Alvin from North reminds me of my brother, Devyn. I can predict that Alvin will be less of a picky eater and have an easier times surviving with the food he has.

Why do I keep reading this book? Every time I read a book I ask myself this question because I makes me think about what a author has to do to maintain the audience. I am reading north because of the relatability, The main character in my book is 12 and thinks much like I do. His parent(s) annoy him sometimes. When he says something that he regrets, he thinks that is childish. Books are fun to read when I can relate

Alvin met a really nice Canadian named Hardette. She is like a sister to Alvin, she helped him cross the border into Canada and she is giving him lots of food

Authors Word Choice:
There are very very strong words in this book, they are very meaningful. My books main character has a southern slang so sometimes its hard to understand. For the most part the vocabulary is easy
