This is the best Forgotten Realms novel I’ve read in years. A low bar, certainly, but the quality of a career genre author with critical success is a welcome oddity in this line of books.

Nah. They're rare, but I once had an unfortunate evening with a Weregibbon. At least it wasn't a weregorilla; I don't think I would've recovered from that.
