is on page 77 of 160

Notes:
(1) Spawn's largely absent for the first half. All he really does is talk to a ghost (or imaginary version) of himself.
- He's really just a background character in stories about cannibalistic occultists, Cyan, and two demons inhabiting human bodies.
(2) I really don't like dream sequences. It always feels like a trick, like the rug's being pulled out from under you.

Notes:
(1) The last half is hardly more than setup.
- Spawn has a fight with a new major foe, but it's not all that impressive, and a preliminary fight at that. Just something to rebound from.
- Angela's back, but just tags along until the end.
- There's something going on with Wanda and Cyan, but we don't know what yet.
(2) I hate when volumes finish up without conclusion.

Jayson
is starting

Notes:
(1) With all my excitement about 2024 being the year I finally start my Post-Crisis and Rebirth DC Comics journey, I can't forget about "Spawn."
- It started as my 2023 Halloween buddy-read but, being a completist, I decided to read the whole thing.
- So, it's a matter of finishing it ASAP or likely never getting back to it again, like so many other series I dropped.
