Daredevil: Yellow — 4 stars
I’ve read DD:Y and SM:B in their individual volumes, so much of what I think about them on a reread has stayed the same.
However, the late, great Tim Sale’s work is even more impressive in this mega hardcover format. Jesus Christ, what an artist.
Even if Loeb’s script is a bit uneven in Yellow, Sale’s artwork is INCREDIBLE. Daredevil!

Idk if I’ve just grown up or read more comics or what, but this read of Spider-Man: Blue felt very…How shall we say…Old fashioned? Gay jokes, fat jokes, ogling at the girls jokes, all in spades.
The art is still beautiful and the story is still moving and it’s still a great sendup of the early Spider-Man comics and one of my favorite comics, period. But not the five star masterpiece I used to think it was.
