so basically it is set in the 80s and its like an alternate world where theres a disease that takes peoples memories and there is no cure for it. people have to be treated by storing their memories on tapes (because no dvds yet, and definitely not streaming XD) and basically have to "watch" them to remember. memories are also treated like currencyit switches between two points of view of the main characters (both teenagers) - if i would want any books to become movies it would totally be these ones :D
