I started this book last night, and am enjoying it so far. Like David Irving, Toland has taken pains to speak to a huge number of persons who knew and worked with Adolf Hitler through the years, sources which are typically ignored by second-hand demonology that passes for biography in the West.

Adolf Hitler is establishing his personal dictatorship with the collusion (sometimes unwitting) of the conservatives, nationalists, and Communist converts. He is almost unilateral in his control over foreign relations.

They're getting into the development of the NSDAP from a discussion club to an actual mass party, as well as the development of his speaking abilities. His anti-Judaism is now on full display, though before this time there are few signs of it beyond those typical of Mittle Europe.
