ok the whole “I won’t tell you this” and “I’m not going to say that here” bit of this has grown increasingly irritating… like, why tell me that you’re deliberately not telling us something? It’s souring me on the whole book.

the bummer about doing this in audiobook—any audiobook, really—is not being able to excessively underline sentences like: “To tell the truth was to pull the pin [of the grenade].”
