Definitely a struggle to read books in their non-original language. The beginning does drag on a bit, and I would’ve preferred more build-up to the inevitable Anna. I also don’t really agree with Tolstoy’s religious views, and as he creates Levin to share the same and to be the pinnacle of goodness, I’m definitely struggling to like that character, too.
