What's really starting to bother me is that I'm 162 pages into a Fairy Tale that is about a young man looking after an ailing, elderly neighbour. There's a shed that probably leads to magic... that he never checks. And a tape that probably explains everything... that he doesn't bother listening to. Character acting in service of pacing. Yuck, Stephen. This book is too heavily padded.
