This series is in my TBR! Which should I read first? I know one is a prequel.

So this is apparently VERY controversial but I read Assassin’s Blade first (the prequel) and then the rest in order. Some people read AB in different places but honestly I don’t understand why. Having all the back story for the main character made me appreciate the first books. Books 6&7 I plan to tandem read - apparently they take place during the same exact timeline so there is a guide on how to go back & forth between the two. This series is my FAVORITE ever and I’m literally obsessed with it. I put off reading it for a long time because it’s super long and I was intimidated and I’m honestly mad at myself for it. The characters and plot are so intricate and devastating and amazing. It’s literally the best ever. Start reading it now!!! I could go on forever lol
