Whoa. I'm actually shedding a few angry tears right now. I'm pissed that the author did that horribly cruel thing to her character (and by proxy, her readers) for the sake of even MORE drama which she clearly did not need in this book. It was purely gratuitous and left a really bad taste in my mouth.
