A broad theme I'm noticing in the book is that the two main characters, Josh and Jules, have this mutual hate for each other, but they start to get closer and they end up catching feelings for one another. Josh does not "like" Jules, but he can't stop thinking about her and how "beautiful it hurt to look at her" (Huang 246).
