i think meeka's internal speech about edward being a horrible person would probably hit harder if we spent any time with edward before he appeared on the page…

i think i would believe meeka and jamie are fucked up people if we spent more time with them — like i find it really hard to believe this? we don't know enough about the coven to believe she's never been loved etc. things feel half developed in regards to this alleged trauma for me.

the one annoying thing about this book is meeka saying she's unloveable when there's a lot of evidence to the contrary — it's a bit unbelievable at this point bc primrose is not abusive at all, just cagey
