🎄Christmas chapters were delightful to read in December, so atmospheric and cosy! and seeing Nikolay and Sonya’s relationship develop was like a gift. I really hope things turn out well for them - and for Natasha and Andrey (even though their age gap is a tad uncomfortable). End of Volume II part IV!

Pierre snuck up on me and now has my whole heart. Prince Andrey grew on me, too, so seeing him wounded is truly sad.
And Hélène really is…something else.
I’m missing Marya and Natasha during these war chapters. Also, Nikolay - where is he? My favourites havent made appearances in a while, so it makes the book drag a bit. But it’s still enjoyable.
